Our Story

Since 2004, Nature Nuts has been a family-focused and family-run organization. We support and encourage children’s understanding and appreciation of nature, community and self through a variety of programs.

Through exploration, adventure and creative play, children play together in small groups gaining knowledge of plants, animals, traditional skills and sustainability. Year-round learning takes place on our private, forested property in rural Maple Valley. Early childhood learning has never been so fun!

Our outdoor classroom spaces are nationally recognized as a certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat as well as a Nature Explore Classroom. Some special features include vegetable and flower gardens, multiple camps with fire rings, climbing trees and stumps, streams and frog pond, a large grassy field, cable tight-rope challenge, mud kitchen, giant swings, play house, sand box and more.

Nature Nuts is centrally located and serves children from Maple Valley, Covington, Renton, Kent, Issaquah, SeaTac, Edgewood, Black Diamond and Auburn.
